My plans and ideas for Ubuntu in the near and far future:
 * Continue working for Canonical on making Ubuntu better
 * Continue working in my personal time to make Ubuntu the best software development platform in the WORLD!
 * Get nightly builds of CouchDB on Ubuntu going in a PPA
 * Get Drizzle into Ubuntu
 * Fix a lot more package bugs once Jaunty Jackalope has all packages available in bzr
 * Record some screencasts
 * Don't spend time on IRC that would be better spent writing code.

Ubuntu MOTU Hopeful, python hacker, former MySQL developer, Launchpad developer, Bazaar wannabe hacker.

Summary of my Ubuntu contributions: Packaging, Bugfixing, Loco team organizing, speaking at conferences.

Here are some reasons that I think I qualify as an Ubuntu Member:

  • I am the maintainer and packager for rescuetime-linux-uploader.
  • I am looking after protobuf in intrepid (syncing from debian, fixing build problems, and looking out for patches from upstream)
  • I run nightly builds of Bazaar in the bzr-nightly-ppa PPA.
  • I packaged python-coverage for ubuntu, but abandoned it to sync with Lars Wirzenius python-coverage package that was written at the same time for Debian.
  • I am a developer on the Drizzle project (MySQL fork). This is not in Ubuntu yet (no binary releases yet) but it will be soon.
  • I used to be a Launchpad developer.
  • I have written an experimental extension to Apache, ProxyPassReverseMatch, which can be found in my PPA.

  • I have given talks on using PPAs and Ubuntu at BarCamp Miami 2008, and BarCampOrlando 2008.

  • I have given talks on using Launchpad at BarCamp Orlando 2007.

  • I helped organize the Ubuntu Florida LoCo Team.
