Hi I'm Duncan Lithgow.

I've been playing with Linux for about three years now. First I tried and failed to install the set of 7 Debian CDs I bought. A linux system administrator came to help me and gave up. I hope they've sorted out their useless installer! So he gave me a Fedora Core 2 CD set, and that worked fine, but was not something I would ever try and get friend or my mother to use. Because I want to be able to recommend Linux to others I had a look at Ubuntu, and think it's the best balance between user friendliness and the GNU ethos. I'm hoping to be part of making Ubuntu a real pleasure for the desktop home users, and if I get time I'd love to work on the GUI missing for several good apps.

If you want to pester me with email you can try:

I have a website at: http://lithgow-schmidt.dk full of stuff, but nothing Linux related (yet)

Bye, Duncan
