About Me

I'm Dmitry Shachnev (mitya57), and this is my wiki page. Currently I'm student at Moscow University, department of Mathematics and Mechanics.

I use Ubuntu since version 7.10 (gutsy).

I'm author of such apps as ReText and Unity Mail.

• Bugs triaging (I'm member of BugSquad and Desktop Bugs teams) and fixing;

• Translating (I'm member of UbuntuRussianTranslators team);

• Maintaining of my packages (currently python-gdata, python-markdown, retext, unity-mail, mathjax);

• Helping out with other Python-related packages;

• Helping with the PackagingGuide (I've written the "Python packaging" section, for example);

• I'm member of Debian Python Modules and Applications teams.
