Milestoned Features for alpha-3:

  • dx-m-app-menubar

    • still ongoing, but overall: extended support for some more tricky menu cases (emacs, g-terminal tabs for example) and support for keyboard shortcuts
    • hidden by default (and suppressing some more visual flicker)
    • of note: test suite effort stuck on a design issue
    • Status: Not finished, and still requires work before the beta

  • dx-m-gtk-enhancements

    • msg menu rendering improvements (triangle indicator and rounded counters)
    • Status: Not finished, but remaining features not release-critical

  • dx-m-sound-menu-v2

    • New scrub bar and support for playlists (MPRIS v2); client support patches upcoming
    • Status: Nearing completion, on track for the release

  • dx-m-indicator-clock

    • New embedded calendar widget -> submitted as default clock for UNE

    • Status: Almost finished, on track for the release

  • dx-m-indicator-me

    • Some bug fixes, but no release for A3
    • Status: Not finished, and still requires work before the beta

Netbook

  • dx-m-unity-une-integration

    • Updated apps & files places

    • Initial Software Center integration
    • Resolved performance improvements in the whole stack, mostly to solve power issues
    • Tons of new visual improvements
    • Status: Not finished, on track for the release

  • dx-m-indicator-network

    • New network settings design
    • Better UI error control
    • Status: Not feature complete, not on track to become the default for UNE
