About Me

I'm a student in the UK reading Computer Science. I first installed Linux in 2001 but only played around on and off for a few years. I installed Warty half way through the Hoary cycle, upgraded, then went back again. I've been using Ubuntu full time since I upgraded to Breezy not long after the repos opened for its development. I've generally tracked the development versions since but didn't really contribute until the Dapper cycle.

Ubuntu Contributions

Triaging bugs.
- I hang in #ubuntu-bugs looking at incoming bugs
- Bug contact for a few packages.
- Look through DesktopTeam/BugState when I want a hug.
- Have editbugs privileges in bugzilla.gnome.org
Submitted patches to BugHelper
Doing some support via launchpad
Active on #ubuntu-uk and the ubuntu-uk list.
Submitted some small patches to the doc team.
Maintaining WifiDocs/Device/CompaqW200

Older stuff:

Added laptop information to LaptopTestingTeam.
Added bootchart info.

LP decided to throw crazy amounts of Launchpad karma at me

Future Work

Fix bugs as well as triaging them. Probably by getting more experienced in packaging and getting acquainted with some source packages.
Hand out dapper discs to students studying modules where they use Linux in the labs.
