| ## Describe: ## the teams's purpose and community role ## the team tasks and work ## who might be interested in joining/getting involved with the team My first thoughts on the purpose of this team is to provide a means for Ubuntu (and Linux in general) users to find and be able to call upon other people in Connecticut for support, help and encouragement when demonstrating, install-fests and any other formal or informal meetings to discuss the uses and advantages people can find in Ubuntu. |
The Ubuntu Connecticut Team is a localized team to promote Ubuntu and Linux in and around the state of Connecticut, USA. If you live or have any connection to the state of Connecticut (live in, moved out of, went to school, friends or family live here, etc.) please feel free to join us in our meetings and future activities. Now is a great time to join in with the Team! Please feel free to join us on our IRC Chat meetings, posting in our [[http://connecticut.ubuntuforums.org|Forum]]! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. |

| This team is a work-in-progress and is definately not something rigid or set in stone. It should, first and foremost, be relaxed and ''fun''! Most of us are working for a living in one form or another and some may have families. I cannot overlook my obligations and I am not about to demand anybody else overlook their obligations! ~Drew = Contact = ## List the contact information of the team: Mailing-list, IRC channel and Web Forum as they may apply. Provide a link to the Launchpad page as a Team Member list if applicable. Consider how people will get in touch with you based on the contact information you supply. The following are some of the sites related to the Connecticut Local Team. * [https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-connecticut Launchpad Site] * [http://www.ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=45283 Dragonbite] * Dragonbite@gmail.com = How to Contribute = ## Describe easy ways to contribute to the team. These should look a lot like the bulleted points on the ContributeToUbuntu wiki page. Link to more detailed subpages as necessary. ''All work and no play makes casper a boring ghost'' Working with this team should be fun, and enjoyable. Heaven knows nobody really wants to take on a drab, dull and boring job and what's the real use in that? = Projects = ## List the team's current projects and tasks as well as status and contact persons for each one. Make it easy for new people to know who to ask and where to go to get involved with a specific project. Let's get thinking of some projects to help promote and display Ubuntu and Linux in general to this state! First, though, we need to jump-start communication and I'm not sure what is going to be the best way. Ideas? I'm all ears!! --->Getting our own forum up on ubuntuforums will be a big help! Communication will be much easier, and we'll all feel more like our own separate entity. -IgnacioMiller = Launchpad Membership Policy = ## Describe your Launchpad team membership policy here.
