Agenda

If you put an item on the agenda, you will have to show up. Otherwise the item will be deleted from the agenda. Make sure you add your name to items you add (except of course for new member proposals)

General Agenda Items and Proposals

  • Integration of Easy Ubuntu in Dapper Drake: a first wizard or an installatoir extension for newbies to add multimedia (and more) capatibilities to Ubuntu. Many peoples are afraid because the cannot play their MP3 with Rhythmbox, read their videos with Totem or play flash games with Firefox. (See http://linuxfr.org/~GhZaaark3/20453.html if you read French). Easy Ubuntu is a "magic" tool who don't include illegal stuff. It just automaticaly do some settings to add extra repositories (Main, Universe, Multiverse and PLF) and get softwares like libdvdcss, gstreamer-*, flashplayer-mozilla, ... from Internet. It also ask to do some settings who cannot be make as default like turning on Num Lock at Start Up or installing nvidia/ATI driver. The new version will be wrote in Python and detect the arch and distro (Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu) to adjust settings. Find more infos about Easy Ubuntu at https://launchpad.net/products/easyubuntu

Locoteams

If you create a locoteam, add yourself to the LoCoTeamList and contact MatthiasUrlichs. The team contact must also subscribe to the locoteam-contacts mailinglist. When you are ready to become an "official" team, or have anything locoteam-related you want to discuss with the Community Council, add your team to this list and show up at the next CC meeting please.
