INTERACTING WITH THE USERS

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 236620 ***

Don't subscribe me again to any bug or I'll have your head cut off by a bunch of crazy colombian guerrilleros.

  • Merge eggdrop 1.6.19-1 from Debian(Unstable)

MY CONTRIBUTIONS

Right now, I focus on two separate activities:

  • Helping new contributors to start and eventually achieve motuship
  • Take care of Universe in general, and in particular of the packages I have either introduced or somehow adopted

For the first bullet, I'm now a MOTU leader as the team owner of the Mentoring Reception. Our purpose is twofold:

  • help new contributors who wish personal attention when starting
  • help established contributors who wish personal guidance when applying for MOTUship

For more info, please check our wiki pages.

I'm also helping with questions on #ubuntu-motu or our mailing lists, sponsoring patches and review new packages. If you need help, just contact me on IRC or drop me an email.

As I said, I also take care of Universe packages in general, usually checking new bugs as they are filed, fixing Q/A issues or syncing/merging.

To this date (23 July 2008) I have 103 commits to Intrepid and 125 to Hardy (mostly bug fixes).

Beside the packages I introduced to Ubuntu (see below) I also have adopted some packages which I particularly follow:

conky, xchat-xsys, source-highlight and the R suite

I'm also part of the motu-release team and as such have the pleasant role of taking care of approving or denying Feature Freeze exceptions for Universe and Multiverse.

I have contributed some of my packages back to Debian, where I co-maintain or maintain them.
