General Membership
Conduct: All team members are expected to adhere to the Ubuntu Code of Conduct, and should consider signing the Code of Conduct on Launchpad. Furthermore, those in leadership positions are in addition expected to adhere to the Ubuntu Leadership Code of Conduct.
Although not a strict requirement, members are encouraged to contribute to the Greater Ubuntu Community and eventually become Ubuntu Members.
Beginners Team Council
Create and Discuss Team rules, regulations and standards. Voting members of the Beginners Team Council consist of five Beginners Team members approved and voted on by the team.
- Council Responsibilities
- Team administration.

- In general, regulations are proposed by the council, then approved during monthly Beginner Team meetings.
- Quality control ~ The stalking team, for example, should report any concerns to the council.
- Resolve conflicts within the Beginners Team.
- Monitor the Focus Groups.

Padawan
"Padawan" is used to identify people interested in joining the Beginner Team. It is generally agreed that seeking membership is a dynamic process, without strict guidelines. Each candidate is considered on his or her merits, and some members will naturally progress through the membership process faster or slower then others
Masters in the Padawan Group are charged with assisting prospective members so that this process occurs as smoothly as possible.
