Purpose

The Education Focus Group provides opportunities for Linux users to learn more about the OS and using Linux. The opportunities include:

  • Links to setup, maintenance and troubleshooting articles for Ubuntu
  • Links to moderate to advanced topics such as bash scripting, compiling your own kernel and security
  • Live IRC sessions hosted by BT Mentors or invited guests

Mentors

Mentors serve dual roles:

  • Mentor people seeking to become BT members (padawan)
  • Mentor members on moderate to advanced topics

IconsPage/IconNote.png If you would like to become a mentor, send PrivateVoid a message via the Ubuntu Forums or talk to him live #ubutuforums-beginners on irc.freenode.net
