Ubuntu History

Since November 2005 I'm a Windows free Ubuntu user and became member of the Ubuntu-nl forum on February 14 2006. In September 2006 I was asked to become a forum moderator which I gladly accepted. I became a member of the Ubuntu-be community for who I organized a couple of fairs to promote Ubuntu. I try to be join all the meetings from ubuntu-be and ubuntu-nl.

My main goal is to spread the news about Ubuntu, search volunteers to join fairs and Release Party's, give support to the ubuntu-nl teams.

Ubuntu Contributions

- Since more than a year forum moderator of the [http://forum.ubuntu-nl.org/ dutch forum].

- Organised the Ubuntu stand on the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ComputerFairs/Genk&Hasselt Dipro Computer Fairs] Januari 7 2007 and May 5 2007. ([https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-be/2007-January/001851.html Read the report])

- Actively joined the meetings on IRC and in real life for Ubuntu-be. (no link)

- Attended the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NlWinterMeeting2007 Wintermeeting] and [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NLSummermeeting2007 Summermeeting] for Ubuntu-nl.

- I will organise a [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ReleaseParty/Gutsy/Hasselt20-10-2007 Gutsy Release Party] in Hasselt with a local computerclub on October 20 2007.

- Actively supported Ubuntu-nl for the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DutchTeam/ReleaseParty Gutsy Release Party] in Hilversum (NL).

- A bigger event will be organized toghether with an IT company for the next release Hardy Heron, more info later.
