   * I'm trying to roll out Ubuntu to a major UK university.
   * WikiWords make my brain bleed.
   * Everything I've written so far needs a lot more work, which will hppen at some point very soon.
   * I'm a former teacher, now working at the University of Birmingham.
   * I'm working on several strategies to integarate the Ubuntu/Edubuntu environment into the UK education system.
   * One side project I'm partly involved in is http://teacherict.mine.nu which is a working installation of moodle, running on Ubuntu, which is actually used in day-to-day teaching.

Email: [[MailTo andy@teknostatik.5u.com]] I currently own 4 functional computers. An Athlon XP desktop running Ubuntu, a Dell Optiplex that hotswaps between Fedora Core 5, Windows XP pro and the current "unstable" version of Ubuntu, an IBM server (where http://teknostatik.homelinux.com lives) and an IBM Thinkpad T22 on which I’m writing this. At work I find myself mainly having to use Windows, but we’re slowly sneaking Linux PCs and Mac Minis into the mix.

My OS of choice is Ubuntu, I prefer Gnome to KDE, I use Firefox (with a million extensions) as a browser and access mail via Evolution. As such the core Ubuntu packages serve my basic needs perfectly.
