Who am I?

I am 27 years old, and I am studying Medicine at [http://www.unich.it University of Chieti] in Italy. I live in a cute little town in Central Italy, called [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugnara Bugnara]. My interests and hobby are photography, jazz music, politic and cooking.

I started using Linux in 1995, when I found a RedHat CD within a computer magazine. Since then, I have used many different distros (Debian, SuSE, Mandrake-Mandriva, Fedora and more), until June 2006, when I installed Dapper and Ubuntu became my favourite operating system. After a few months I started helping in Italian LoCo Team, and in October 2007 I initiated my journey toward MOTUness.

Ubuntu involvement

MOTU

Starting October 2007, I'm now mostly involved with packaging. My mentor [https://launchpad.net/~pitti pitti] is greatly helping me facing this amazing world and up to now I took care of bugfixes, merges, syncs and brand new packaging. My fields of interest are games, python and science.

Along my activity with MOTU, I am particularly careful in sending my work (patch, new packages, etc.) back to Debian. I am firmly convinced that cooperation between Ubuntu and Debian makes both them stronger and stronger.

Here is a list of the packages I created for Debian: http://qa.debian.org/[email protected]

Here is the list of package I took care of for Ubuntu: [https://launchpad.net/~warp10/+packages]

Italian LoCo Team

My involvement in Ubuntu community begun within [http://www.ubuntu-it.org Italian LoCo Team]. Currently I help Italian Marketing Team with three projects:

Other activities

Bugs triaging

I am a member of Ubuntu Bug Control Team, Bug Squad and Desktop-bugs.

Ubuntu Testing Team

I am a member of Ubuntu Testing Team.

Laptop Testing Team

I am a member of Laptop Testing Team. I use Ubuntu on two notebooks, and I am greatly interested in improving Ubuntu support for laptops.

I wrote an [http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/Hardware/Notebook/DellInspiron6400 Installation Guide for Dell Inspiron 6400] on the Italian Wiki.

Ubuntu advocacy

Most important of all, I always try to spread the verb of GNU/Linux, FOSS and Ubuntu among friends, relatives and people I meet.

  • People moved to FOSS and Ubuntu: 3
  • People that now dual boot their computer with Ubuntu: 14
  • Conversions in progress: 2
