The latest release of Ubuntu is OUT! Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) was released on October 18, 2007. Preparation is beginning for the next release Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) tentatively scheduled for a April 24, 2008 release.

The Alabama Team is a group of enthusiastic Ubuntu users who want to help spread the word and help other do the same. We hope to help spread the word about Ubuntu and Linux to more people in this area. We will supply tech help, advice, and support to those who need it. Install fests, tech shows, and meetings will be scheduled.
