Ubuntu and accessibility

Introduction

Accessibility features enable people with disabilities to use their computers to perform everyday tasks such as writing or browsing the web. As more information becomes electronic and vital functions such as shopping, banking and interaction with government agencies moves on-line, it becomes increasingly important to make the computing platform accessible. Employers and schools are increasingly required to provide accessible computing.

See the AccessibilityTeam pages for more information about accessibility in Ubuntu.
